$2 Million Christmas Tree Made of Pure Gold Unveiled
A $2 million Christmas tree has been created in a super high-end jewelry store in Tokyo. The pure gold tree is 8-feet tall, and has 60 heart shapes and 100 ribbons – all also made of pure gold.
The Ginza Tanaka jewelry store in Tokyo has attracted hordes of visitors since unveiling the gold tree; most of whom come to snap some photos of the pricey tree.
The same store previously spent $850,000 on a gold tree in 2006, but has sought to top that tree with a much larger and extravagant tree.

The tree reportedly took four months to create with 15 expert craftsmen working on it. It has more than 26 pounds of pure gold built into it. The actual amount of gold in the tree only comes to $750,000, however, the store boasts that the designers, manpower and other expenses in its exclusive creation pushes its overall value to about $2 million.
Owners are trying to get the tree listed as the most-expensive Christmas tree ever made.
Although many have enjoyed the feature, many other critics have condemned the tree as wasteful and against what Christmas stands for.
