Aaron Shust Seeks 'God's Grace' for Guidance (VIDEO)
In a recent interview with The Christian Post, Christian music artist Aaron Shust candidly spoke of the trials and tribulations he has experience throughout his life, and his ongoing dependency on God for guidance.
Shust is an award-winning singer and songwriter with multiple albums and singles under his belt, including “Take Over,” “Anything Worth Saying,” “Whispered and Shouted,” “This is What We Believe,” and “12 Songs for Christmas.”
Throughout his many life experiences, Shust has maintained a strong connection to God. He cites the difficulty he faced last year, when his two-year-old son was living in the hospital because he could not keep down food or drink.
Shust affirms that he relied on God the most during the “times when just relational stress and strife had happened in [my] life.”
“We interact and therefore stresses are going to happen because we’re all, we’re all sinful,” Shust told CP.
“We all fall short of the glory of God and when we interact with each other tension happens,” he added.
As Shust affirms on his website, when humans encounter tough times they need something solid to depend on.
Although sadness and stress caused by sickness, death, and tension are painful to bear, Shust affirms that God’s grace wipes away all distractions, allowing one to find the simplicity in what they truly believe.
“I can say that by the grace of God that I’ve not wavered in believing that He is good, He’s in control,” Shust told CP.
Shust has won multiple Dove awards, including Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, and New Artist of the Year in 2007.
He also has the most played song on Christian radio for the past eight years, entitled “My Savior, My God.”
Shust lives in his hometown of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania with his wife and his two children, and serves as a leader at the church of his childhood.
