Attorney Denies Casey Anthony Staying at His $5.2M Mansion
A former attorney for Casey Anthony is denying that the Tot Mom is staying in his multimillion-dollar California estate. Todd Macaluso told reporters Tuesday that Anthony is not living in his Rancho Santa Fe mansion after rumors surfaced that she was seen living in the five-bedroom, five-bathroom $5.2 million mansion.
To dispel the gossip, Macaluso allowed a San Diego reporter to tour his home- there was no sign of Anthony.
“Well, you can’t see my property from my neighbor’s property and it’s just not true. It’s more media hype. Casey Anthony hasn’t been to my home, and would never be in my home,” Macaluso told a 10News reporter.
Last month, when Macaluso’s plane took off from Orlando Executive Airport the night Anthony was released from jail, many suspected she was on board and that her former attorney would provide his isolated property as a safe haven.
However, Macaluso insists he would never let Antony reside in his home because it would place his family’s safety at risk.
“This case is over,” he said. “We all need to move on.”
In July, an Orlando jury acquitted Anthony on charges that she murdered her then 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in 2008.
Tuesday would have marked Caylee Anthony's sixth birthday.
