Billy Graham Hospitalized With Possible Pneumonia
World-renowned evangelist Billy Graham has been hospitalized at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., near his home in Montreat, and is being evaluated and treated on his lungs.
A. Larry Ross, Director of Media and Public Relations for Billy Graham has sent a release to The Christian Post from Mission Hospital confirming that Billy Graham was alert, smiling and waving at hospital staff upon his admittance.
Graham’s personal physician, Lucian Rice, MD, has said that the evangelist’s condition is stable.
The pulmonologist treating Graham, Mark Hellreich, M.D., has also added that Graham is being tested for possible pneumonia.
Graham was previously hospitalized earlier this year in May for pneumonia.
Since his release Graham has continued his regular work including finalizing his most recent book, “Nearing Home,” published last month. He has also begun work on a new project reaffirming the evangelistic message he has preached for more than 60 years.
While no date has been set for his discharge, the release from Ross has said that Graham is looking forward to returning home to spend the upcoming Christmas holidays with his family.
