Black Friday 2011: Hottest Holiday Deals on HDTV’s at Walmart

Walmart decided to start early this year when it came to releasing some of its planned holiday sales for Black Friday.

Before the year’s biggest shopping day, the retail giant offered hot items at its locations this upcoming weekend and mimicked its strategy from the 2010 holiday season.

Technology website GizmoCrunch noted its sales on cameras and game consoles were not impressive, but the retail giant stepped it up considerably in the HD Television department.

The HDTV’s were marked down for this early holiday sale, according to the website.

The LG 42LW5300 42-inch LED-backlit 3D LCD and comes with four pairs of 3D glasses is selling for $727. Another 47-inch LG 47LV4400 LED set will also be on sale for $698, however, this television is not a 3D ready version. Lower-end models like Westinghouse’s 46-inch LD-4655VX will go for $549.98.

The 46-inch RCA 46LA45RQ will also be available for $498. Another 46-inch television made by Sceptre labeled the X460BV-FHD will retail at $439.98 this upcoming weekend. Models featuring smaller screens like Philips’ 40PFL5505D/F7 will go for just $499.99.

For customers looking to spend less than $400 Walmart will sell the 60 Hz Toshiba 40FT2U for the low price of $387 and offer the 60 Hz Sceptre X405BV-FHD for the super low price of $329.

These early sales seem quite impressive and should help Walmart to undercut the competition.

Nevertheless, if this is what the retailer is doing early in the season, its actual Black Friday sales should include even hotter bargains than these deals.
