Body of Missing Dr. Teleka Patrick Who Was 'Obsessed' With Gospel Star Marvin Sapp May Have Been Found Floating in River
The body of Dr. Teleka Patrick, 30, a Michigan woman who was reportedly "obsessed" with popular Gospel singer Marvin Sapp before she mysteriously went missing last December, might have been found floating in Lake Charles in Porter, Ind., according to local authorities.
An ABC report said a fisherman spotted something floating on the lake just after 7 a.m. Sunday, which turned out to be a female body dressed in dark clothing.
Patrick's family explained in the report that while the identity of the woman has not yet been verified, police told them it could be the body of their daughter.

"Our family was informed that a body was found that may be our daughter, Teleka Patrick," said the family in a statement. "We are waiting for official confirmation from the Kalamazoo Sheriff's Department and have no comment at this time. Thank you for your continued prayers — we ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time."
Porter County Coroner Chuck Harris said there were "no obvious external signs of trauma to the body," but "there is some decomposition, so it's hard to tell for sure." The autopsy is expected to be done on Tuesday while the identification of the body is expected on Wednesday.
The missing doctor was a first-year medical resident in psychiatry at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, Mich. The last time she was seen was on Dec. 5, 2013, at about 8 p.m. on surveillance video from a Radisson Hotel located just five minutes from her home.
A Radisson employee reportedly told investigators that she had tried paying cash for a room at the hotel, but was turned away and she appeared agitated when that happened.
More than 100 miles away and two hours later her gold Lexus motorcar was found ditched on the side of the road with a flat tire and her wallet inside. There was no sign of her keys.
When she failed to show up for work the next day, she was reported missing. Investigators later discovered her purse and cellphone but no other sign of the doctor.
