Canada's Foreign Policy Looks to Promote a Homosexual Agenda

The Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister has come out to publicly announce that one of the nation's foreign policy objectives should be the promotion of the homosexual agenda.

The announcement came during a conference organized by the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations, and urged listeners to endorse and promote a "principled, values-based" foreign policy agenda.

John Baird, Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister, revealed to those attending that the focus for Canada should be to help influence places with strict laws governing homosexuality, and urge them to ensure measures are in place to halt any kind of abuse against homosexuals.

"We're working with allies like the EU and the United States on encouraging the decriminalization of homosexuality…We're working with all political parties in the House of Commons to fight those who restrict the basic human rights, from Kampala to St. Petersburg," Baird said, according to CBN.

Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, has also been a strong supporter of those who have been persecuted for being gay, and he considers Canada a place where those individuals may find refuge.

"One of the things I did was to increase our resettlement target for refugees out of Turkey in general, partly to respond to the particularly acute resettlement needs of gay Iranian refugees but also Iranian refugees like dissidents, journalists, Christians and Baha'is, all of whom face persecution," Kenny said during a press conference.

But while the Canadian government continues to address the needs of homosexual communities throughout the globe they still have the understanding that solely providing a refuge for homosexuals will not be enough to end violence against gays.

"We cannot impose our form of government or our institutions on others…Change must come from within. When it happens, Canada is prepared to support those seeking to build a free and prosperous society," said Baird.
