Charlize Theron Cast to Kill Kristen Stewart in 2012 'Snow White' Movie

Two popular actors will battle it out in 2012s “Snow White and the Huntsman” when Kristen Stewart takes the role of Snow White against the evil Queen Ravenna, played by Charlize Theron.

The live-action film promises to be quite different from the classic Disney animated film, and there is supposedly an action sequence where Theron’s character clashes with Stewart’s hero. The South Africa born actress was eager to give a brief overview of the scene.

"I haven't really worked with [Kristen]," shared Theron in an interview, according to The Stir. "I've done small things with her, but we're about to shoot our big showdown, and fingers crossed for me. It is the big battle. I'm just really, really, really hoping I get to kill her."

Stewart is bound to bring a significant portion of the audience that followed her Twilight movies to the film, and it is shaping up to be a box office success next year.

The revamped rivalry between the two characters should prove to be a very interesting affair. In the fairy tale, and in the Disney movie, the Queen does everything in her power to see Snow White killed, so that she can be proclaimed “the fairest in the land.” The movie, however, gives Snow White a sword and puts her in armor, and promises to add much action to the story.

The trailer for the movie was launched, and it is being praised by various film review websites. Although it will face competition from a number of fantasy movies being released next year, its big-name star power seems to give it an edge.

Next year is promising to be a huge for Theron, as well. Besides the Snow White remake, she will also be taking a lead role in Ridley Scott’s prequel of “Alien,” called “Prometheus.”
