CP World Report: Special on Sandy Hook School Shooting
The grieving process has begun following the mass murder of 27 people in Newtown, Connecticut last Friday. At Sandy Hook Elementary school twenty children and six adults were unmercifully shot several times as well as the shooters mother, Nancy Lanza, at her nearby home.
Sunday evening President Obama spoke at an inter-faith service.
When disaster presents itself in such a manner as it did on Friday people look for solace from each other as they gather in vigils at overflowing places of worship. A psychologist on the scene said the pain is so great that it is given to a higher power because humans cannot deal with that pain. Gov. Dan Malloy of Connecticut spoke of that faith at a vigil on Friday night.
Pope Benedict 16th sent a letter to Saint Rose Of Lima Roman Catholic Church In Newtown.
Also on Friday, President Obama called on scripture.
