Dancing With the Stars: Carson Kressley Says He Will be Back
Fashion expert Carson Kressley was eliminated from “Dancing with the Stars” Tuesday, and has promised to come back to cheer for the remaining contestants each week.
After the elimination, Kressley revealed that being on the show was “the best thing ever.” He and professional dancer Anna Trebunkaya received low scores for their jive the night before the elimination, which resulted in the star saying farewell to the remaining seven “DWTS” couples last night.
When his name was announced, the audience responded immediately with “boo’s,” but Kressley gracefully accepted the elimination.
“This has been a pure joy,” said Kressley. “I only hope that I could make people smile, laugh, and have a great time.”
On Twitter, Kressley said he “will miss all of the pros and the stars, I love you all.”
Fans of the fashion guru included “DWTS” co-host Brooke Burke Charvet, who posted on Twitter Tuesday, “Tonight I’m truly sad about #DWTS elimination. I will miss my friend…”
Other fans expressed outrage on Twitter over the cut of Kressley, including user Mary, who wrote, “How sad that someone as entertaining as Carson Kressley left and Chaz Bono remains. #dwts.”
Diandra said, “Whyyy did Carson & Anna get voted off DWTS? Chaz needs to go!”
Disappointed fans sounded off on the social media site, regretting that the openly gay contestant was eliminated.
Kelli wrote, “How could @CarsonKressley get voted off dwts. I would dance with him anytime. And then we could shop.”
“So sad to see @CarsonKressley leave DWTS Carson u brought so much to the show! I fell in love with you again! Praying u replace Regis!!” said Twitter user Glam Shop.
Sharing her opinion, Karla wrote, “Although he wasn’t the most talented dancer, he was certainly one of the most entertaining! Sorry to see Carson go home last night on DWTS.”
“Dancing with the Stars” airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. EST and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST. Next week will feature a Broadway theme.
