Evangelical leaders react to Jimmy Carter's death: 'An example for us all'

Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference and pastor of New Season Church in Sacramento, offered a heartfelt tribute to Carter, emphasizing his faith-driven legacy.

"Above all, President Carter was a man of deep and abiding faith. His commitment to Jesus Christ was evident not only in his words but in his actions," Rodriguez said. "He did not simply read the Gospel — he lived it."

The pastor, who represents millions of Hispanic Evangelicals worldwide as the head of the NHCLC, praised Carter's work with Habitat for Humanity and his dedication to global peace and humanitarian efforts.

"His life challenges all of us to embrace humility, serve others and reflect the love of Christ in all that we do."

Rodriguez concluded by honoring Carter's enduring example.

"Rest in peace, President Jimmy Carter — a servant of God, a leader of men, and an example for us all."
