"After a lot of months of filming today we finished. So excited for you guys to see our new show on #oxygen #richinfaith," Wilkerson, 31, wrote to supporters online.
"Rich In Faith," as the reality show has been branded after initially using the working title "The Wilkersons," was picked up in the fall by Oxygen Media.
"Pastor Rich Wilkerson made international headlines when he married friends Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in a glamorous wedding in Florence, Italy. But even though he preaches to the A-list, his true passion is sharing his faith with the world and being part of a movement of young believers," Oxygen stated in a press release at the time.
Oxygen explained that "Rich In Faith" would be a "more entertaining way of spreading the Gospel" and "not only walks with people through the struggles of their lives, but also sheds light on how Rich Wilkerson and his wife, DawnCheré, are committed to making church and faith fun as well as unexpected."
The series was scheduled to launch this October, according to the Sept. 2014 announcement.
Oxygen Media is the same network that brought viewers "Preachers of L.A.," its spin-off "Preachers of Detroit" and "Fix My Choir."
When Wilkerson gained mainstream attention for officiating West and Kardashian's wedding last May, numerous outlets, such as People, E! Online and BuzzFeed wrote reports about the "good-looking" pastor and "Leonardo DiCaprio lookalike."
The Wilkersons, previously youth pastors at the elder Rich Wilkerson's Trinity Church in Miami, have planted their own church that officially launches in September. It was reported that their former Trinity Church youth ministry, The Rendezvous, had attracted upwards of 1,500 members.
Wilkerson, whose Sandcastle Kings: Meeting Jesus in a Spiritually Bankrupt World book releases in November, preaches a message about purity and relationships called "It's Complicated" in the video below.
