Lady Gaga in Tears on 'Born This Way Ball' Tour in Brazil: 'I Felt God in This Place'
Lady Gaga has been gushing about how much she loves Brazil ever since she arrived in the country for her "Born This Way Ball" tour. The "Telephone" singer was moved to tears during her first performance in Rio de Janeiro last Friday.
At one point in her concert Gaga called some fans to come up to the stage and got teary, smudging her makeup, as she shared with her fans that she felt God there.
"Coming to this city changed my life. I felt God in this place. This is a place where the dreams come true. Brazil I love you. Brazil is the country of the future," the singer said, according to Caras.
The concert took place in Parque dos Atletas, in Barra da Tijuca, western Rio de Janeiro.
As she declared her love for her Brazilian fans, Gaga also told them that she didn't care about their color or origin.
"I don`t care about the language you guys speak. You guys are the future, you are all. I am very happy here and thrilled. I know how expensive it is to be here and to come until here. Your are my pride, my honour."
She later posted on her Twitter, "Tonight, the love we made set Rio in Flames. I'll never forget that show Brazil. You ARE the City of God."
The 26-year-old singer didn't stop her demonstration of love for Rio there, and she later showed a new tattoo on her neck of the letters "R†O" in honour of the city.
"R†O. Monsters, all over the world you continue to inspire me everyday, your like an endless ocean of possibilities," Gaga tweeted beside the photo.
The singer's "Born This Way Ball" tour is currently in Sao Paulo but moves to Argentina on November 16.
