NRB 2013 Convention: Nick Vujicic Among Speakers at National Religious Broadcasters 4-Day Event

Motivational speaker, author and ministry leader Nick Vujicic is one of several well-known Christian leaders that will be speaking at the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) 2013 Convention & Exposition in Nashville. The four-day event that begins this Saturday is the largest nationally and internationally recognized gathering dedicated to the field of Christian communications.

"God has used Nick to inspire, motivate, and touch lives around the world," commented NRB President & CEO Dr. Frank Wright. "More importantly, many have found the hope they seek in Jesus Christ through his faithful witness. I'm excited to have him speak at NRB 2013."

Born without arms and legs, Vujicic has devoted his life to telling others about Jesus. As president of the non-profit organization Life Without Limbs, Vujicic travels around the world, speaking to large audiences about overcoming obstacles and finding hope in God. He is delivering the International Keynote session on Tuesday.

Bestselling author and radio host Eric Metaxas will speak at the NRB Media Leadership Dinner on Sunday.

"I am excited to have Eric speak at this special event," Wright stated. "With his clever wit and punchy humor, Eric is an extremely effective communicator whose words often serve as a much-needed prophetic cry in today's culture."

Metaxas currently co-hosts BreakPoint, a radio commentary that airs daily on more than 1,200 outlets with an estimated weekly listening audience of eight million people. He is also the author of the New York Times #1 bestseller Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy.

Thousands of Christian media and ministry professionals are expected to converge at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, the site of the NRB event. The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) is a non-partisan, international association of Christian communicators whose member organizations represent millions of listeners, viewers, and readers. The organization states that its mission is to advance biblical truth; to promote media excellence; and to defend free speech. In addition to promoting standards of excellence, integrity, and accountability, NRB provides networking, educational, ministry, and fellowship opportunities for its members.

"It's a group of men and women committed to using every electronic media platform available to us to reach the world for Jesus Christ," explains Wright. "It's the embodiment of the body of Christ that we see at the Convention."

As in previous years, the NRB Convention will offer approximately 50 educational sessions led by professionals at the top of their field. These sessions offer participants topics such as fundraising, marketing, video production, social media, technology and leadership. Sessions this year include "Channeling IPTV & Chiseling Tablet Apps for Your Ministry," "Ethics and Leadership: Strengthen Your Character Development," and "What Should Christian Media Look Like in 10 Years?"

Also, among the dozens of speakers at the event are ministry leaders Dr. Tony Evans of The Urban Alternative, Bobby Gruenewald of LiveChurch.tv, and Nick Hall of the PULSE movement; popular bloggers Jeff Goins and Tim Challies; as well as social media luminaries from Twitter, Google, and Facebook.

Organizers say that perhaps one of the greatest benefits of attending the convention is the chance to meet and speak directly with representatives of leading Christian organizations, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Campus Crusade for Christ, In Touch Ministries, Focus on the Family, Grace To You, Moody Radio, Harper Collins Christian Publishing, World Vision, and more.

The Christian Post will have exclusive coverage of the event as the official media of the NRB convention. A special section on CP's homepage will be dedicated to NRB 2013 news. Follow @ChristianPost on Twitter for the latest updates.
