Student-oriented ministry Passion has launched a website for their upcoming conference, Passion ’06, which is scheduled to be held from January 2nd to the 5th. Features of the website include online registration for the conference and hotels in the area, the schedule of the event, and promotional materials.
As with last year’s conference, Passion ’06 will be held in the Gaylord Arena in Nashville, TN with the event’s theme being Isaiah 26:8, the “heartbeat of the Passion ministry.
A statement on the Passion ’06 website reads, “Come together with your generation. Encounter God. Process truth. Join the movement for His renown.”

The event’s organizers are anticipating an even bigger turnout than Passion ’05, which drew more than 11,000 students from all 50 states, as registration for the conference, which began March 1, is outpacing last year, according to the Passion ’06 website. Capacity of the Gaylord Arena is 15,000+ attendees.
Leading worship at Passion ’06 will be some of today’s best selling Christian artists including The David Crowder Band, Chris Tomin, Matt Redman, Shane & Shane, Charlie Hall, Nathan and Christy Nockels, and others. Scheduled speakers for the event include John Piper, Beth Moore, and Passion founder Louie Giglio.
Prominently featured alongside the large group sessions at Passion ’06 will be smaller “Community Groups” (400-1500) and more intimate “Family Groups” (8-10 students), which are designed to allow attendees to, “sit and process what God is doing in their lives.”
Online registration for the event, which ranges in cost from $129-$149 will end December 15th, with available tickets at the door costing $169.
