Real Housewives of Atlanta's Phaedra Parks Reveals Origins Of Apollo's Attitude

Phaedra Parks, an Atlanta attorney and cast member of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," recently revealed her thoughts on her husband Apollo Nida's attitude after fans witnessed his tension toward her on their show.

Parks appeared on Bravo TV's "Watch What Happens Live" where she answered one viewer who called in to question why her husband seemed to have such a negative attitude toward her this season. Parks, the mother of two, said people needed to factor in the changes in the couple's lives including a newborn baby and home renovations.

"I don't know why he has such an attitude but I think lack of sleep," she said on the show. "Of course we are renovating and a baby and I think weigh all of that going on, it can make you a little grumpy."

After the new season of her reality television series began earlier this month, fans began to see the playful couple that is Parks and Nida begin to bicker on screen. While tensions rose when Parks' fellow cast mate and former beauty queen Kenya Moore began to text message her husband, the former has insisted that she has a strong foundation with the father of her two sons.

Still, Parks readily admits that marriage is not easy.

"Marriage is tough," she told S2S magazine recently. "The more time you can spend with your spouse-definitely quality time-it sorta makes it a lot better and hopefully it creates more intimacy in the relationship."

Parks previously defended her marriage after it came under scrutiny at the end of season five on her show.

"I have a strong marriage," Parks told In Touch Weekly earlier this year. "It's not like Kenya revealed something I didn't know. There are no secrets."

However, Moore insisted that Nida initiated the text messages while clarifying that they were not inappropriate as she previously suggested on the show.

"There was never any inappropriate text message between Apollo and myself," she said on the Bethenny talk show recently. "It was friendly, but he initiated the texts every time."
