Porsha Stewart Returning to 'Housewives' After Kordell Divorce? (VIDEO)

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Stewart is reportedly hoping to return to the show in season six in a bid to support herself financially, it has been claimed.

The 31-year-old reality TV star was reportedly blindsided when her estranged husband Kordell filed for divorce on March 22. She is now said to be focused on rebuilding her life and hopes that she will be asked to return to the hot Bravo TV show, according to HollywoodLife.com.

"[Porsha] thinks she has an image, and since the show she's been enjoying her fame and wants to keep it up," a source told HollywoodLife.

"So for that, I know she would want to come back. Plus, she doesn't have a job or another way to support herself," the source said.

Kordell, who is a former NFL player, abruptly ended the pair's almost 2-year marriage in recent weeks and he is reportedly refusing to pay Porsha spousal support. The pair has no children together.

"[She's] an able-bodied person, earning income and is capable of supporting herself," Kordell reportedly told TMZ.

Porsha, who joined the "Real Housewives" in season five, appears to have a different view. The reality TV star and former video model star has not only requested spousal support but her attorney, Randall Kessler, has reportedly asked that his client have exclusive use of the family's Atlanta home.

Kessler, who represented fellow housewife NeNe Leakes during her divorce from Gregg, holds the view that Porsha's marriage to Kordell, 40, set her back professionally.

He claims that his client quit her job for two years while the couple was married and that she also sold her businesses in order to help raise Kordell's son Syre from a previous relationship.

It is still unclear why exactly Kordell pulled the plug on their short marriage, but the pair was often seen arguing on the "Real Housewives." Raising a child was almost always at the root of their arguments.

Porsha, who is a granddaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams, wanted to become a mother and also have a career, but Kordell often pressured her to choose one or the other. She often denied growing criticisms that Kordell was "controlling" in their marriage but now feels "misled" by him.

"Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband's recent filing for divorce. Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her," Porsha's representative told Yahoo OMG!

"Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith," the representative added.
