Porsha Stewart Talks Divorce on 'Good Morning America'

Porsha Stewart appeared on "Good Morning America" on Monday and the reality TV star opened up about feeling like a "failure" because her estranged husband Kordell filed for divorce.

In an interview with ABC News Correspondent Juju Chang, Stewart, 31, described the moment that she confronted Kordell, 40, about the divorce. The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star learned about the divorce on Twitter and approached the former NFL star about it, as he was in the next room at the time.

"It wasn't a conversation. It was very calm— it was me simply asking my husband if he had filed. He said he had thought about it and said 'we'll talk about it later' and went to work. He said call my attorney and find out," Stewart revealed.

The reality TV star, who is a granddaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams, was reportedly blindsided by the March 22 divorce filing. She admitted that it has been an emotional struggle.

"At times I feel ashamed. It's almost like a failure in a way. But I do know that God has more for me and I know that at the end of the day he probably didn't deserve me," Stewart said.

"I feel that I still have a chance to have it all, just maybe a little different this time. But I still strive for that," she added.

The pair, who is still living together in Atlanta, was often seen arguing on the hit Bravo reality TV show. Stewart frequently expressed her desire to have children as well as a career, but Kordell insisted that she choose one or the other.

Stewart's co-stars regularly accused Kordell of being "too controlling," but the former video model would often defend her husband. She maintains that she tried her best to salvage the marriage and expressed disappointment in Kordell's filing.

"At the end of the day it was a betrayal that I suffered from and that's something I'm gonna have to move on with," Stewart said, "but at least I know I put in my best."
