'RHOA' Mama Joyce Wants Better Relationship With Son-In-Law Todd in Wake of His Mom's Death
"Real Housewives of Atlanta's" Mama Joyce has reportedly vowed to improve her relationship with her son-in-law Todd Tucker in the wake of his mother's death.
On Tuesday Miss Sharon, who often clashed with Joyce on the hit reality TV show, died after suffering a fatal stroke on Monday. Both Tucker and his wife Kandi Burruss paid tribute to the "young spirit" via social networking site Instagram and Joyce reportedly told TMZ.com that she regrets not having repaired her relationship with Sharon before her untimely death.
Tucker reportedly traveled to New York City from Atlanta on Monday after learning of his mother's stroke. She was reportedly unconscious upon his arrival but passed away the following day.
While funeral plans are said to be still in progress, Joyce has no plans to attend out of respect for Sharon's friends and family.
"Today I lost my partner, my ride or die my best friend! I don't know what to do? I'm lost! My heart hurts so much!" Tucker wrote alongside a photo of himself with Sharon. "She was a fighter, a warrior for her son! It was me and her against the world! She's in a better place!! Mom I love you to death! Rest in peace!"
Burruss, who married Tucker in April, also expressed her grief online.
"Today has been a tough day. Our family has suffered a terrible loss. Sharon was the best mother in-law! She was fun, energetic, loving, & caring," Burruss wrote in an Instagram tribute. "... She still had a young spirit. It's unbelievable that she's gone. I'm so sad for @todd167 because they were so close ... I'm still in shock."
Burruss, who released her gospel song "Prayed Up" featuring pastor and gospel singer Marvin Sapp earlier this year, has suffered a number of tragic losses in recent years. In 2011 Ashley Jewell, 15, who was the daughter of her late fiance, A.J. Jewell, died during a shooting less than two years after A.J.'s passing.
