'Bomb Implants' New Weapon for Al-Qaida

Al Qaida is reportedly expanding its methods to carry out terrorist attacks, and is allegedly plotting to implant explosives inside a terrorist's body to evade the latest security scanners.

Areas such as the abdomen, buttocks or even breasts are thought to be the hot spots for placement of the bombs. According to published reports citing a secret government document, the “body bomb” would be virtually undetectable.

Security analyst Robert Strang, CEO of the Investigative Management Group told PIX 11 News: “Clearly it's a concern…at the end of the day every time we get a new technique, a new system in place, they're gonna try to find a way to get around it.”

Strang continued: "This is something that's out there, please beware of it, if there is a specific threat we'll hear about it right away, so as far as getting on a flight, there's probably no safer way to travel right now than getting on an airplane."

How would these “body bombs” set off? The terrorist would inject themselves with a syringe setting off a deadly chemical reaction resulting in a plane's 'explosive decompression' and leading to mass casualties.

Al Qaida on the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) is the organization believed to be behind this scheme, and have attempted something similar before. Previously they planned to cause mass deaths by using an “Underwear Bomber?”

However, in that incident the would-be suicide bomber who had a bomb in his boxers suffered severe burns when the bomb failed to blow up on the Detroit-bound plane.
