3 female detransitioners suing doctors over experimental sex-change procedures that left them disfigured
Several formerly trans-identifying individuals have accused medical professionals of subjecting them to body-disfiguring drugs and surgeries during a time in their lives when they struggled with gender dysphoria and various mental health issues.
People who once identified as trans are often referred to as “detransitioners,” and many of these individuals have publicly shared their stories of regret over their youthful decision to take hormonal drugs or undergo surgeries in an attempt to look like the opposite sex. Many detransitioners have also spoken about how the doctors responsible for their care encouraged them to make these life-altering decisions after short consultations and without reviewing their medical histories.
Here are three young detransitioners who've publicly shared their accounts and are suing the medical professionals they say committed malpractice.
