Trayvon Martin Case: Tape Shows George Zimmerman Without Bruises or Blood (VIDEO)
ABC News has released footage of George Zimmerman entering the Sanford police station after shooting Trayvon Martin. He has no apparent bruising or blood on his person, which could contradict his claim of being attacked by Martin.
The video shows Zimmerman being brought to the station immediately following the altercation with 17-year-old Martin, who he claims attacked him. Zimmerman stated that he was hit in the back of the head and suffered a broken nose during the fight with Martin. He has stated his innocence ever since the shooting took place and maintains he killed Martin in self-defense.
However, the video footage shows no bruising or blood on Zimmerman's body, which leads to speculation that his claims are unfounded. His lawyer, however, told NBC's Today show that the video is "very grainy" and his client had been "cleaned-up" before being brought to the station.

"We just looked at the video and we were just surprised, because according to the police report, he sustained injuries," Trayvon's mother told CNN host Piers Morgan. "When we looked at the video, it was obvious that there were no visible injuries … no blood on his shirt. I believe that this video is the icing on the cake."
Richard Kurtz, the funeral director who handled Martin's body and services has also spoken out on his behalf, telling the press that there were no signs of fighting on Martin's body.
"The only thing that I was able to see was the gunshot wound," Kurtz, the funeral told The Last Word's Lawrence O'Donnell. "I could not see evidence like he had been punching somebody as the news media say he was punching … It just did not add up to me."
Calls for Zimmerman's arrest have intensified, and even politicians are weighing in on the matter. Yesterday, Representative Bobby Bush wore a hooded sweatshirt on the House floor in support of Martin. He was promptly asked to leave but has gained support from colleagues and citizens across the nation.
The Department of Justice is still investigating the shooting and the handling of the case by Sanford police.
