Trump Booed at WrestleMania XXIX: Issues Challenge to WWE's Vince McMahon (VIDEO)

Donald Trump was booed off stage at WrestleMania XXIX on Saturday night, as he attended the event to be added to the WWE Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden.

The WrestleMania XXIX fans were in no mood to give Trump a warm welcome and as soon as his name was mentioned during Vince McMahon's introduction the boos started ringing out around the arena.

However, the climax of the hostile reception came when Trump attempted to start his speech; the moment his voice was heard over the loudspeakers the boos raised up to another level.

Trump continued with his speech nonetheless, and explained that even though he had received many awards in his lifetime, being added to the WWE Hall of Fame was one of the best feelings he had experienced.

The "Celebrity Apprentice" star was obviously attempting to connect with the fans, but his efforts were in vain, and he was forced to cut down his prepared speech.

He quickly moved on to introduce his son, who was also abruptly booed, as well as his daughter Ivanka, who oddly received cheers.

The billionaire then laid down a mock challenge to Vince McMahon to fight him at WrestleMania 30. However, despite his challenge Trump was reported to have quickly exited the building without waiting for a response.

Trump is a big fan of WWE and a close friend of Vince McMahon - he has hosted two WrestleMania events in the Trump Plaza in the past.

In the aftermath of the event Trump took to his Twitter account to post a compliment to the WWE and McMahon: "Thanks @WWE -- @VinceMcMahon is an amazing guy."

Here is a video of Donald Trump being inducted into the WWE's Hall of Fame:
