WOW Celebrates 10 Years With The Release Of WOW #1's
The WOW series, Christian music’s best-selling brand, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the release of WOW #1’s, the brand’s first definitive “best of” collection. Bannered as “31 of the Greatest Christian Music Hits Ever,” the CD features an impressive array of #1 hits from Pop, Adult Contemporary, Rock, Worship and Inspirational music formats within the Christian genre. Acclaimed arts such as Audio, Amy Grant, Casting Crowns, Steven Curtis Chapman, MercyMe, Nicole C. Mullen, newsboys, Michael W. Smith, Rebecca St. James, and Third Day, are among those represented in the latest hits package.
Also included on WOW #1’swill be the first single from Backstreet Boy’s member Brian Littrell, a remake of the classic “In Christ Alone.” “In Christ Alone” was recently added to Christian radio playlists and is currently gaining major national airplay at both the AC and INSPO formats.

In accordance with the release of WOW #1’s, the brand will be implementing one of their most aggressive radio and retail promotions yet. At radio, in addition to the major support of the single “In Christ Alone” branding its inclusion, national promotion ad buys will launch support that will include “flashback” moments of WOW music over the past 10 years as an additional branding tool of the 10th anniversary celebration. Soul2Soul Radio will do back to back radio weekends beginning April 9-10th and continuing on April 16th-17th airing on 500 stations nationwide and featuring interviews from artists who have been part of the first decade of WOW.
Promotion will also include heavy concentration at radio of custom WOW #1’s Game contest that produces winning prizes ranging from CD bricks from the participating artists to a grand prize of a backyard concert being provided by Provident Label Group. Retail will also see across the board major instore promotional and catalogue visibility on the new release.
A companion WOW #1’s DVD will also be available and will feature 21 of the top all time videos from artists such as Avalon, dc Talk, Jars of Clay, Nichole Nordeman, Stacie Orrico, Point of Grace, Michael W. Smith, Third Day and Jaci Velasquez, among others.
