Heat Wave Maps and Weather Forecast for July 2016: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego
The heat wave in key cities may last for the rest of July. Warnings for dangerous weather conditions are up in some cities.
The heat wave over cities of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix and San Diego has become so unbearable. Residents in these cities are wondering when this scorching heat will end. But it looks like this severe weather will prevail as weather forecasts for the rest of July spells high temperatures, increasing humidity and unbelievable heat indexes.
Los Angeles
Terrible temperatures in LA will prevail for the coming days. Expect 56 pecent humidity and temperatures of up to 77 degrees Fahrenheit during daytime. Heat indexes of up to 79 degrees Fahrenheit will be a little bearable but can increase toward the middle of the day. Nearby regions in CA are experiencing severe conditions as uncontrollable brush fires and sand fires damage brush and land and are headed to nearby communities. To date, more than 30,000 acres have been damaged, and thousands have been displaced due to evacuations. Even animals have been evacuated due to the fires' prevailing strengths.
Las Vegas
It's going to be one sunny and hot week in Las Vegas as temperatures can go as high as 106 degrees Fahrenheit at daytime. Humidity is at 10 percent while heat index is at 101 degrees Fahrenheit. There will be cloudy skies and a possibility of a thunderstorm during the middle of the week, but all in all, the heat wave will still prevail.
Phoenix
Phoenix is one of the driest places in the United States, and facing the heat might be no trouble for most residents, but this July 2016, heat wave has made it too unbearable to even go out and do anything. A few scattered clouds can be seen in the sky making it hot and sunny all day long with temperatures as high as 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity is at 23 percent while heat index can reach up to 99 degrees Fahrenheit. There is a chance that a few light showers, and a few thunderstorms may quell this scorching heat at the middle of the week, but still, the terrible heat wave will reveal.
San Diego
San Diego may have a break from the terrible heat this week because of a patchy fog layer that seems to be present almost every day. Still, a warning from the National Weather Service is up, warning residents against a very hot and humid air mass prevailing across the mid-Atlantic and Southeast portion of the country which means there is still no let up from the scorching heat wave in July. San Diego will have temperatures as high as 70 degrees Fahrenheit with humidity at 83 percent.
