“I have no idea what's true and what's not in terms of his character or how the interviews went. I was not there. I have no idea so I'm not going to make a judgment on him or his character or his attitude," said Father David Michael Moses in a post on YouTube

"I'm also not making a judgment on the NFL executives who are picking him or choosing not to pick him or whatever. But here's why I'm making this video. With all the talk about his attitude and what role that played or didn't play in him getting picked or not picked, I think our culture is kind of confused about how to distinguish between pride, confidence and humility,” he added.

“So what you have right now is half of kind of the analysts online are saying that he lacks humility and he needs to check himself and check his attitude, and the other half are saying that he's just confident and he's secure and that that quality intimidates other people who are insecure. That these people in the NFL offices don't want somebody who's, confident in themselves. They want weak people," he continued.

"I don't know which one it is, but I would say is there no room for a distinction between those two things. There's a big difference between being confident and being prideful. And I feel like what happens in our culture right now in this situation and many other situations is that if somebody is prideful but you like them, then you just call them confident. But if somebody is confident and you don't like them, then you call them arrogant. It just ends up being whatever we want it to be and we just frame the confidence or the arrogance in whatever light we want depending on whether or not we like the person.”

“So maybe it's good to have just a very brief explanation of the difference between those things. Humility is seeing yourself as God sees you. It's seeing what is true about yourself. Humility, I love this quote, ‘Humility isn't thinking less of yourself. It's probably just thinking of yourself less.’

“It's being less self-centered and more focused on others. Ultimately, humility is truth. Arrogance [and] pride, on the other hand, is presuming things that are not true, things that are fantasies. So, it's confident and humble to say, ‘I'm a child of God. I am loved by God infinitely. God's grace is at work in me. God wants me with him forever.’

“That's humble confidence. It's arrogant to say, I'm sinless or I never do anything wrong or I don't need to avoid temptations because I can handle it. I'll be fine or these sins ... they affect other people but these sins for me I can handle them they're fine. That's arrogant and prideful."

"I wish Shedeur Sanders all the best in the pros,” he said. “Again, this is no judgment on him or anybody else, but I think this is kind of worth having a conversation about. Hopefully we can be kind of discerning as a culture between those two things.”
