Ahmad Rashad and Sale Johnson Having 'Quiet' Divorce Settlement

Former NFL player and NBA sports announcer Ahmad Rashad and his wife Sale Johnson are reportedly quietly working out terms of their divorce.

Reports indicate that Johnson and the Emmy Award-winning sportscaster and former NFL player have been together since 2005 and share a $5 million dollar home in Jupiter, Fla. The pair is thought to have been living separately for several months has they continue to work out financial issues before officially filing the divorce paperwork, according to Gossip Extra.

Sources close to Johnson revealed that the reason for the split is due to Rashad's friendship with NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan and former world golf No. 1 Tiger Woods, who live close to their Florida home on Jupiter Island.

However, there are other sources that state the real reason for the divorce was due to the simple fact of the love in the marriage evaporated over time and the two are ready to move on with their seperate lives.

Johnson is a former fashion model and ex-wife of New York Jets owner and Johnson & Johnson heir Woody Johnson. When Johnson divorced the Jets owner in 2002, she was rumored to have been awarded more than $100 million in the divorce settlement.

If those reports are accurate that would make her much more wealthy than the 63-year old Rashad who, according to Celebritynetworth.com, is worth somewhere in the range of $8-10 million.

Rashad and Johnson's property at the Bears Club, an upscale community developed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, is owned solely by Johnson, but should Rashad not be awarded the home, he can move into the $350,000 house in the Palm Beach Gardens gated community of Frenchman's Creek.

Rashad, a former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver and former host of The NBA on NBC, currently works for NBA TV.
