Brazil are trying to do what no Brazilian side has done before in winning the Olympic gold; this is still the one soccer accolade that they are still yet to win. However, South Korea will prove tough opponents and could cause various problems if Brazil are not on their game today.

A shock result nearly took place in Brazil's quarter final match. The South American side went behind twice to Honduras, yet they twice fought back to equalize and emerged as eventual 3-2 winners. That quarter final was the fourth game in a row that Brazil have scored three goals.

Brazil came into the Olympic Games at London 2012 as hot favorites alongside Spain to take the gold. However, Spain had a terrible tournament and were knocked out at the group stages. Brazil meanwhile have progressed confidently and undoubtedly have the most devastating strike force at the Olympics.

However, it is at the back in defense that Brazilian fans will be most worried about. They have looked shaky and against Honduras in the quarter finals the Brazilian defense were guilty of some slack defending, which they cannot afford to bring into this semi final tie if they want to guarantee their place in the final.

South Korea should not be underestimated; they are well organized and hard working with enough skill to take on any team if they are not fully focusing. If Brazil start to think about the final too early they may face a shock result here in this semi final.

South Korea will be confident having beaten hosts Great Britain on penalties in their quarter final, and they will be looking to go one better and make it into the final of the Olympic men's soccer tournament for the first time.
