Glenn Beck Affiliation Leads to Calls for Boycott of Christian TV's TBN

Liveprayer.com, an interactive Christian website with over 2.4 million subscribers, is calling for a boycott of Christian TV network TBN, according to a press release.

Bill Keller, the leader of the site, issued the call after prominent Christian leaders such as Pastor John Hagee and David Barton expressed their support for Glenn Beck’s “restoring courage” campaign on the network.

“It is absolutely ridiculous for a supposed Christian TV Network, that purports to be propagating the gospel, like TBN, with major Christian figures like John Hagee and David Barton, to be supporting and advocating for a member of a satanic cult,” said Keller to The Christian Post.

Glenn Beck, a professed Mormon, frequently identifies himself with other religious people such as Christians, feeling they all have similar values and can work together on “common interests.”

However, to believers like Keller, this is deceitful behavior since he believes Mormonism is a satanic cult or a counterfeit form of Christianity, and that true believers should not align themselves with these types of faiths.

“It is sad to see the largest Christian TV network and several supposed Christian leaders become modern day Judas’ by giving credibility to the proud member of a satanic cult who is exploiting the love Christians have for the Jewish people and the land of Israel,” said Keller in the press release. “The Bible says that we are not to be bound together with unbelievers. It asks what fellowship the light has with darkness.”

Keller has challenged Mormons in the past. He also spoke out against Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

"If Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck want to believe the fantasies of Joseph Smith that's fine, but at least have the courage to admit that you’re (Beck and Romney) a Mormon and not a Christian,” said Keller to CP.

The Christian evangelist believes Mormonism is a satanic cult, whose doctrine is 100 percent inconsistent with biblical Christianity.

Keller slams Beck's ideas and believes the media giant and former Fox News personality is deceiving true believers and even the Jewish people, since Mormons teach that they descend from the ancient House of Israel.

According to Keller, Beck is conning biblically illiterate Christians into sending him donations, most likely to support his “GBTV” webcasts, a media outlet Beck formed after departing from Fox News.

Keller stated that Beck’s media conglomerate holds a conservative political ideology. These views, he said, align him with other conservative groups like the tea party and evangelicals where he is able to create a quasi-spiritual movement that makes him millions of dollars based on the assumption that his faith is just another sect of Christianity.

"The Bible says Satan masquerades as an angel of light, Beck is a perfect example of that," said Keller to CP.

The former Fox News personality gains recognition among Christians by forming partnerships with prominent men of the faith such as John Hagee and David Barton, whom Keller claims Beck bought off. He believes they sold out the Christian faith and are afraid to challenge Beck on his Mormon beliefs, accusing them of enjoying the monetary gain and notoriety they inherit from aligning themselves with the media giant too much to question his motives and expose his Mormon beliefs.

“In this day where the vast percentage of the past two generations have never been to church, and the majority who do attend are either in liberal denominations or churches using manmade seeker/purpose driven/emerging/prosperity marketing strategies designed to put warm bodies in seats, Beck is helping to lead many innocent souls into the lies of his Mormon cult and their souls to hell,” said Keller.

Keller claims he has challenged Beck for years to tell the truth about his Mormon beliefs, but says that he lacks the gall to confess since he may lose monetary support from the millions of Christians who currently support him.
