Hillary Clinton 2016: Top Political Donor Confirms Second Presidential Run?

A close friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton has claimed that the former Secretary of State is planning a second run for President in 2016, amid ongoing media speculation.

Angelo Tsakopoulos, who has been described as a heavyweight donor to Clinton political campaigns, is said to be a dear friend of the Clinton family. During a private banquet in California on Feb. 9. the 76-year-old revealed that Hillary's hopes of becoming America's first female President are far from over, according to The New York Post.

"Hillary will be our next president and she will be a great one," Tsakopoulos reportedly told the Greek Reporter. "I talked to her husband, and he confirmed it. She will run."

The statement comes exactly two weeks after Hilary, 65, resigned from her Secretary of State Post on Feb. 1, capping a 4-year tenure that saw her break records for the most number of countries visited during one term.

"I am more convinced than ever in the strength and staying power of America's global leadership and our capacity to be a force for good in the world," Hillary said in a final letter to President Barack Obama.

Hillary, who ran against Obama in 2008, had reportedly been preparing her run since 2003. While her Presidential campaign was ultimately unsuccessful, she appealed strongly amongst voters in certain demographics including: Hispanics or older, non-college-educated, or working-class whites.

"I am an agent of change. I embody change. I think having the first woman president is a huge change with consequences across our country and the world," she said during a democratic primary debate.

Supporters of Hillary are confident that her political experience, which boasts First Lady of The US (1993-2001) and Secretary of State (2009-2013), makes her an ideal Presidential candidate. However, critics continue to question whether in fact she is ready.

"It is up to me to make a decision on my own future," Clinton said in January regarding the possibility of a 2016 Presidential run. "I right now am not inclined to do that."
