Jessica Simpson Halloween Costume: Has Singer Reached Weight Loss Goal? (PHOTO)

Jessica Simpson has had a challenging year regarding her quest to lose weight after giving birth in May, and a recent photograph of the singer has fueled speculation that she may have finally reached her goal weight.

Simpson, 31, signed a $4 million weight loss deal with Weight Watchers during her pregnancy and reportedly struggled to lose 50 pounds in five months following the birth of her first child. The 5'3" star, who reportedly weighted in at 210 lbs during her peak, recently stepped out for Halloween in a fitted wench costume just one month after admitting that she was just 10 pounds away from her goal weight.

"I'm 10 pounds away from my pre-baby size," Simpson told Us Magazine in September with her personal trainer Harley Pasternack adding, "Her waist is going in, and her thighs are getting smaller!"

The "Fashion Star" judge shared the Halloween photo of her wench costume on social networking site Twitter and it featured a blonde wig and low cut chest area. Her fiancé Eric Johnson wore a matching costume, while baby Maxwell was dressed up as a chicken.

Simpson incorporated a clean diet and regular exercise in order to achieve her weight loss goal, and fans of the singer flocked to Twitter, where many praised her new appearance.

"Wow. Jessica Simpson lost lotsa weight. I looove her costume too!" Sugar tweeted.

"Jessica Simpson is skinny again! She looks so great, very proud of her #halloween," Greg tweeted.

"Yep Jessica Simpson definitely lost all the weight, the wench costume says it all," Tammy tweeted.

Just one month after giving birth, it was claimed that Simpson had become overwhelmed with her weight loss challenge and that she was subsequently close to giving up altogether.

"She's so emotional," a friend told In Touch magazine in June. "She doesn't want to go to the gym. She doesn't want to leave her baby. Sometimes she just starts crying. It's hard for her."

Simpson is yet to confirm exactly how much weight she has shed since embarking on her weight loss journey, although new reports claim that she has lost at least 60 pounds.
