Kelsey Grammer Regrets 'Real Housewives' Appearance, Discusses Divorce

"Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer has opened up about his appearances on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and his divorce from Camille Grammer.

Grammer appeared on season one of Bravo's "RHOBH" and was seen in a cold and awkward exchange with his then-wife. While speaking with Anderson Cooper, Grammer explained the interaction.

"I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment," said the 57-year-old actor on Wednesday's "Anderson Live."

Grammer reflected on the decision to allow cameras onto his personal life, and stated that it was not a good idea.

"It was just ill advised," said Grammer, who is now married to Kayte Grammer, a former flight attendant. They met and had an affair while he was still married to Camille, though he claims they were separated at the time.

"It was the wrong decision and I should have come home from England when I first met Kayte and just said, 'Listen I've met somebody and this hasn't been working for a long time,'" recounted the actor. "I regret not doing that."

"I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so it was very painful and uncomfortable," he continued. "It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us."

The actor's openness while on "Anderson Live" was different from his interview with Piers Morgan last week. When the British host revealed a photo of Grammer's ex-wife on "Piers Morgan Tonight," Grammer stormed off the set.

Despite his past troubles, Grammer told Cooper that his relationship with his current wife is a happy one.

"Kayte's a woman that knows how to love," he gushed. "It doesn't mean that she doesn't have strong opinions about things or that we agree on everything we talk about, but there's a person in my life that looks on me as someone that's important. That she doesn't wanna live without. That's just an extraordinary thing."
