Mick Jagger-David Bowie Gay Affair Denied by Liv Tyler's Mom

Rumors ignited by a new book that rock stars Mick Jagger and David Bowie had a gay affair have been denied by Bebe Buell, who is the mother of Liv Tyler and once dated Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler.

"I want to make it clear that I never saw Mick Jagger and David Bowie having sex," Buell has said, according to Showbiz411.

The rumors that Mick Jagger and David Bowie were more than just friends are not new, and have followed the two rock stars around for years. However, the rumors have been sparked again by new book, "Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger," by author Christopher Anderson.

In the book Anderson claimed singer Chuckie Starr told him, "It was the glitter era, and everybody wanted to be part of the bisexual revolution. Mick was no different. He was wearing rhinestones, blue eye shadow, and platform shoes."

Anderson writes in his book: "Neither complained when a photographer snapped them in a moment of repose, Bowie tenderly cradling Mick's head in his lap. Bowie also took Mick to gay films."

Anderson goes on to state that the situation peaked when Bowie's wife Angie discovered the two men in bed together.

"She returned home one morning and went straight to the kitchen to make some tea. The Bowies' maid, who arrived about an hour earlier, approached her with a peculiar look on her face. 'Someone,' she told Angie, 'is in your bed.'"

"Angie went upstairs to her bedroom, slowly pushed the door open, and there they were: Mick Jagger and David Bowie, naked in bed together, sleeping. Both men woke up with a start. 'Oh, hello,' said Bowie, clearly taken by surprise. 'How are you?'"

Anderson also goes on to claim Bebe Buell confirms the rumors of the gay affair. Anderson alleges Buell told him, "I used to get some pretty strange phone calls from Mick and David at three in the morning, inviting me to join them in bed with four gorgeous black women. Or four gorgeous black men."

However, with the stir the claims in the book are causing Buell has now come out to say Anderson had gone too far in interpreting her words. She told Showbiz411: "I want to make it clear that I never saw Mick Jagger and David Bowie having sex. I knew them to share women, but not each other ... I never saw Mick Jagger sexually active with another man. But his dance card with women was legendary."
