Pippa Middleton Gun Controversy Passing as She Emerges in Public

Kate Middleton's sister, Pippa Middleton, has been seen out for the first time in public in London since a gun scandal broke which threatened to put her in jail.

Pippa Middleton, 28, was seen out in Central London going to the Rosano Ferreti Hair Spa – which is the first shot media have gotten of her since she became engulfed in controversy in Paris recently.

The Duchess of Cambridge's sister was seen by photographers riding in a convertible in Paris, with one of her friends waving a gun. Although it now has been confirmed it was a fake gun, there was a huge uproar in France where gun controls have been tightened following recent shootings.

The incident reportedly has been of great embarrassment to Pippa's royal relatives, and since the incident she has allegedly been keeping a low profile hoping for the dust to settle on the incident.

Pippa has not as yet commented on the incident, but one of the friends who was in the car with her, Arthur de Soultrai, has spoken to Us Weekly. He described his friend waving the fake gun in the direction of paparazzi, saying, "As a joke, my friend brandished a toy pistol in their direction. Obviously Philippa (Pippa) had no idea that he was going to do that and she told him to stop immediately. She did not find it funny."

Pippa reportedly works for her parents' company "Party Pieces" at the moment, where she is in charge of editing the web magazine Party Times.

Earlier this year during the Leveson inquiry, Paul Silva, picture editor of The Daily Mail, claimed that the paper receives up to 400 pictures of Pippa each day, from picture agencies and freelance photographers.
