Sarah Jakes Roberts, daughter of popular megachurch pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes, who wed Touré Roberts, senior pastor of One Church International in Hollywood, California, last fall, recently revealed that she was "nearly arrested" after showing her "tail" during her previous marriage to former Redskins linebacker Robert Henson.

"In my previous marriage I was nearly arrested," Jakes Roberts explained in a discussion with ESSENCE about identifying your soul mate, along with her husband. "I mean, I showed my tail, okay? So being vulnerable and being treated like a lady wasn't something that I had really become accustomed to because I was so used to being tough and taking care of myself."

Jakes revealed in 2012 that she chose to end her marriage to Henson after four years because of "multiple infractions" and "safety" concerns.

"After professional counseling, and prayerful consideration I have decided to end my four-year marriage," she noted at the time of that decision. "There are biblical grounds supporting this decision and I have attempted every other recourse but after multiple infractions over the course of the union, and for my personal safety and that of my children, I have come to this painful decision."

Jakes, who got pregnant with her first child when she was just 14, told ESSENCE that after her divorce from Henson she grew more confident in what she wanted from a relationship and Roberts fit that bill.

"I was at a place where I knew that anyone would be honored to take me to dinner, and so I extended the privilege to him," she recalled. "And, I did declare that he better feed me well. So we went to dinner in Los Angeles."

The mother of two who will be celebrating her first year of marriage to Roberts in the fall says she will never forget the first date she had with Roberts.

"He picked me up at my hotel and I remember that from the moment that I saw him when I got off the elevator I felt vulnerable and naked," she said. "Not naked like he's looking at me, but naked like, I don't think I can hide anything from him. There is something within me that wanted to be the truest version of myself with him. There was something that made me feel safe. Everything from him watching how I came down the stairs to him opening the door for me at the restaurant, it made me feel like for the first time in a very, very long time, I could be a soft, feminine, dainty woman and fall into the arms of a real man that could hold me down."

Just two days prior to the publication of the ESSENCE interview, Jakes' first husband, Henson, lamented on Twitter about people moving on after a break up.

"Why can't people just break up and go their separate ways? Why one person always trying to ruin the other person's life?" he tweeted.

On Monday Jakes further warned her followers on Facebook not to get caught up in the dating game while pointing to a clip from a teaching sermon delivered by her husband on Sunday.

"Don't get caught up playing the dating game. Start asking the real questions up front! Check out this clip from Touré Roberts message yesterday and visit his page for the full message!" she wrote on her page.
