Sadie Robertson Breaks Down Into Tears on 'DWTS,' Tweets 'All Glory to God'
"Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson broke down into tears following her performance of the rumba on "Dancing with the Stars" this week.
The 17-year-old model has wowed both the "DWTS" judges and fans with her dancing skills alongside Mark Ballas this season, and Monday was no exception. Robertson and Ballas took on the rumba set to Rihanna's "Diamond" in a performance that earned them 35 out of 40 points from the judges' table. After hearing the scores, Robertson burst into tears. Unable to speak and covering her face with her hand, Ballas hugged her and offered words of encouragement.
Shortly after the show, Robertson took to Twitter in thanks to God for her achievements.
"Thankful to my Father who has given me the opportunity to have this amazing experience on @dancingabc," she wrote. "I believe with all my heart He is the one in control of all things. ALL glory to God for this amazing journey."
Along with the post was a photo featuring a Bible excerpt from John 20:29 NIV which reads: Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Later on, Robertson also added, "Hope y'all liked tonight's dance. I was nervous, but was so happy that it came together. Thank you for voting! #TeamQuackAttack."
From the very start of her appearance on "DWTS," Robertson has been outspoken about her Christian faith as well as the importance of her famous family's input on her costumes for the dance floor. In fact, the "Duck Dynasty" star's father Willie Robertson personally approves each outfit his daughter wears on the show. The same attention was also given to Robertson's rumba performance this week, according to CNS News.
"I hope this week, it doesn't come off as sexy, but it comes off as sweet," the teen revealed ahead of the performance.
Robertson's "DWTS" partner echoed her sentiments, assuring fans that he abides by Robertson's religious beliefs and preferences on "DWTS."
"My one priority here is her feelings and I wanted to honor them," Ballas said on Monday's program. "I wanted to find the perfect balance between being appropriate and still doing the correct dance, and I felt that I did that," he added.
"DWTS" judge Carrie Ann Inaba agreed with Ballas, deeming the Rumba performance as "exceptionally elegant and gorgeous and age-appropriate."
