10 Encouraging Christian Tweets for Today

Twitter has become a social networking website for all different types of people to express opinions, share media, tweet thoughts and ideas, and Christians are even using the service to encourage other believers.

Listed below are prominent Christians and 10 of the most encouraging tweets for Nov. 18.

The Rev. Run, former leader of hip-hop super group Run DMC and reality star, shared his daily wisdom by quoting Peale to his Twitter followers today: “Stay focused: Empty pockets never held anyone back only empty heads and empty hearts can do that.”

Joyce Meyer encouraged followers by instructing them how to improve quality of life: “If you find yourself unhappy, think about what you have been thinking about and you will probably find the root of your problem.”

John Piper commented on the state of believers: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."

John MacArthur tweeted: “Looking to the Future: By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life,” and “All things have been handed over to me by my father; and no one knows the Son except the Father."

Christian Rapper Lecrae recently appeared on the BET "Hip Hop Award Cyphers" and today he shared an encouraging song with his followers.

“This song has got me reflecting on God’s goodness,” he tweeted, recommending a song called “Single” by Hello featuring Suzy Rock.

Joel Osteen, one of America’s most famous pastor, had some encouraging words for his followers as well.

“It’s easy to talk about the ‘good old days.’ But today, start thinking about the 'good new days' that God has for you,” tweeted Osteen.

Creflo Dollar, another prominent megachurch pastor, provided his followers with a scripture reference.

“It is important to become proactive in our stance as believers (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8),” tweeted Dollar.

In addition, former WWE wrestling superstar Shawn Michaels retweeted a post from one of his former colleagues, the Road Dogg Jesse James.

“Today I pray I let my light shine, when I act you see him, and when I speak, you hear him! Thank you God for your many blessings,” retweeted Michaels.
