2011 Stellar Award Nominees Announced

The nominees for the upcoming 26th annual Stellar Awards were announced over the weekend.

Up for Artist of the Year are James Fortune & FIYA, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Marvin Sapp, and Fred Hammond. Song of the Year nominations include "Best In Me" (Marvin Sapp), "Close to You" (BeBe Winans), "Encore" (James Fortune, C. Fortune and T. Vaughn), and "They That Wait" (Fred Hammond, Calvin Rodgers, Phillip Feaster, Ericka Warren, Michael Bethany and Dynna Wells).

Other categories include Choir of the Year, New Artist of the Year, CD of the Year, Producer of the Year, and more.

The 26th Annual Stellar Awards will be held at the famous Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville and air Jan. 15 on GMC. The 2011 awards show will be hosted by Stellar, Grammy, and Dove award-winner Donnie McClurkin, who hosted the nominations special on Saturday.

Ahead of the show, GMC will premier next month "The Stellars Tribute to the Holidays," featuring holiday gospel song favorites.
