5 potential running mates for Kamala Harris

With Vice President Kamala Harris securing the support of enough delegates to likely become the 2024 Democratic nominee for president, there is much speculation about who she will choose as her vice presidential running mate. 

Whether Harris, 59, or former President Donald Trump, 78, wins the upcoming 2024 presidential election, a new person will take office as the 50th vice president of the United States on Jan. 20, 2025. 

Here are five potential running mates for Harris.
