50 Cent Talks Floyd Mayweather Ducking Manny Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson once referred to one another as best friends, and now the music mogul is speaking up about why he believes the boxer will not participate in a highly anticipated fight against Manny Pacquiao.

Jackson, 37, appeared on ESPN's First Take debate show Thursday where he opened up about his thoughts concerning Mayweather and Pacquiao postponing their anticipated battle in the boxing ring for years. When the music mogul was grilled about the possibility of Mayweather being afraid of the Filipino congressman and fighter, he was not quick to admit the possibility.

"He's not afraid of Pacquiao or any fighter," Jackson said on the show. "It's more of him saying who I have to fight. At this point, it's more him sorting out who's the perfect opponent than him fighting the toughest fighter to fight."

According to Jackson, 36-year-old Mayweather's stubborn personality and desire to make money more than give viewers an exciting fight has kept him from getting in a ring with Pacquiao.

"He concentrates on how much someone else is getting paid opposed to how much he is actually getting paid," Jackson said on First Take. "He sees himself in a space that nobody else sees himself in, and that he's so high on top of it that he shouldn't actually give some of the other great fighters at this point."

Jackson has joined the boxing world with his company SMS which will partner in the Friday Night Fights event scheduled to air on ESPN on March 1. Although there was once talks of him and Mayweather collaborating on a boxing promotional company, things took another turn when the music mogul began to bash his friend publicly in various interviews.

However, the rapper and entrepreneur made it clear that there was no bad blood between him and Mayweather while revealing his thoughts on his friend's personality.

"I mean well if you friends with someone you have to accept their imperfections right? And Floyd is just one of those people that is just going to flip-flop, and he has a lot going on emotionally coming from being incarcerated," Jackson revealed on the ESPN debate show. " 60 days wouldn't be a lot for people who experienced those things before, but for him it was a traumatic experience and I can't wait to see how he performs following that because he still hasn't fought."

Mayweather is scheduled to fight Robert Guerrero on May 4.
