6 highlights from the fourth Republican presidential debate
Contentious exchanges were aplenty as four Republican presidential hopefuls squared off in the fourth presidential primary debate in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Wednesday night.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie participated in the debate on NewsNation. Former President Donald Trump, the current frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination, opted out as he did in the previous discussions.
Moderated by Sirius XM radio host and former Fox News personality Megyn Kelly, NewsNation anchor Elizabeth Vargas and Washington Free Beacon Editor-in-Chief Eliana Johnson, the debate comes less than six weeks before the Jan. 15 Iowa caucuses kick off the presidential nominating contests in all 50 states and several territories.
Topics of discussion included Trump's ongoing dominance in the GOP primary, LGBT issues and foreign policy.
Here are six highlights from the fourth Republican presidential debate.
