With the 2024 presidential election taking place later this year, former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are the presumptive nominees for the Republican and Democratic nominations for president, respectively.
Several high-profile challengers emerged to both frontrunners, who have become the subject of media coverage and seen their names included in polls asking voters whom they support. While all major challengers to the presumptive nominees within their respective parties have dropped out, a handful of high-profile candidates running independent campaigns for president remain in the race in addition to third-party presidential hopefuls.
However, a number of additional candidates have also filed to run for president in the Republican and Democrat presidential primaries or launched independent campaigns, receiving little to no media attention in the process.
