$99 HP TouchPad: Best Buy to Sell Final Stock in Pre-Black Friday Bundle Sale?

Hewlett-Packard announced Friday that beginning in November, customers can get their hands on a coveted 32GB HP TouchPad for $149 with the purchase of another HP or Compaq item at Best Buy.

The news, shared in a press release from HP, seems to indicate that Best Buy may be the retailer to exclusively get its hands on the final batch of HPTouchPads promised to hungry consumers in previous weeks.

For consumers looking to kill two birds with one stone, this may a great opportunity.

The way the deal works is easy.

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 1, customers can visit Best Buy online and purchase an HP or Compaq Laptop, Desktop or All-in-One computer. With that purchase, customers are then eligible to snag a 32GB HP TouchPad for the fire sale price of $149.99.

If you plan on shopping in-store, however, the deal will not be available until Friday, Nov. 4. On that day, customers can visit any Best Buy location nationwide or any Best Buy Mobile standalone shop to take advantage of the deal.

For those planning to shop online, Best Buy is offering free shipping on everything sold online with no minimum purchase required, apparently just for the holiday shopping season (Nov. 1 through Dec. 27).

Shoppers desperate to get their hands on the 32GB HP TouchPad have to move quick. Best Buy warns that these TouchPad units will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. So when they are sold out, that is it.

If the HP TouchPad is all you really want to purchase, then you will have to cough up the full price for the tablet, which is $599.

HP announced previously this week that the company's online inventory of HPTouchPads had been completely sold out, but that certain retailers would receive a limited stock of the tablet -- it appears Best Buy may be the retailer of choice.

HP has made no mention of the $99 16GB TouchPad, but that might not matter much to consumers who have missed out on the deeply-discounted tablets since prices were slashed in August. It appears, beginning in November, will be the final chance for shoppers to get their hands on 32GB HP TouchPad for $149.99.
