Adele to Sing Live in Comeback at Grammys

British pop star Adele has announced that she will perform at the Grammy Awards in February.

Adele, 23, a two-time Grammy winner, had to cancel her remaining America tour dates for the end of 2011 after she underwent vocal cord microsurgery in Boston last November.

"I'm immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year's Grammy Awards," the pop star said in a statement.

"It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all."

Also scheduled to perform at the 54th Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, are Coldplay, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

For this year Adele has been nominated for six Grammys which include, Record of the Year, Song Of The Year and Best Short Form Music Video for "Rolling In The Deep." The singer is also up for Album Of The Year, Best Pop Vocal Album for "21" and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Someone Like You."

The singer is also scheduled to perform at the Brit Awards later in the month. Britain's top music awards take place in London on Feb. 21.

The British star wrote fans on her Twitter page stating: "Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It's been so long I started to forget I was a singer! I can't wait, speak soon xx."

Adele underwent an operation in Boston in early November after being diagnosed with a vocal cord hemorrhage, which possibly could have led to the end of the young singer's career.

The record-breaking star sold 3.7 million copies of her album "21" last year despite having to cancel the remainder of her tour toward the end of last year.

She had told doctors that her voice just was "switching off" during performances which led to her throat surgery.
