Apple to Launch iPad 3 on Steve Jobs' Birthday?

Apple is rumored to launch the next generation iPad Feb. 24, 2012, on the birthday of the late Steve Jobs, co-founder and former CEO of Apple, according to a report from Asian publication Focus Taiwan.

The newspaper claims this information leaked from sources close to Taiwanese makers in Apple’s supply chain. The report revealed that with the success of the iPhone 4S this year, Apple is looking to launch the iPad 3 first thing next year. Industry sources said that the first shipment of iPad 3 could exceed 4 million units.

The sources also revealed that all OEM and ODM makers have exercised great caution in ensuring the smooth operations of their production lines in order to launch the iPad 3 efficiently.
