Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Divorce: Actress Struggling to Cope?

After Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s sudden split, there is another challenge the 49-year-old mother of three has to take on: coping with the stress of a very public divorce.

Although the marriage will officially end sometime in the future, Moore is trying her best to remain optimistic and views a silver lining in an ugly cloud of gossip, rumor, and adultery.

“She said [she] was going to change for the better,” said the informant, “And [she said that it was time for her to focus on herself again and her girls.”

The ending of Moore’s third marriage to the “Two and a Half Men” star comes after damaging rumors about Kutcher’s infidelity surfaced. The gossip, though originally baseless, was found to be true. The 33-year-old actor cheated on his wife with 22-year-old Sara Leal on his wedding anniversary.

Though some celebrity marriages are able to endure extramarital relations, Moore was adamant that hers would not be one of them.

"As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," said Moore in a statement.

Moore’s announcement noted “great sadness and a heavy heart” as highlights to her unwillingness to tolerate Kutcher’s behavior, although she certainly tried. The “Punk’d” producer was unfaithful Sept. 24 of this year, and after nearly two months of gossip, the couple just recently split.

The marriage lasted six years, but it has been facing controversy ever since the two started dating.

Moore is 15 years Kutcher’s senior, and the age difference has been quoted as a major hurdle for the couple.

“All along, Demi was told it would never work, that he’s going to cheat,” said a source to Star magazine several months ago.
