Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Divorce: Cheating to Blame?

Demi Moore has announced the end of her six-year marriage to Ashton Kutcher because of “values and vows” that she holds sacred.

After months of media speculation over their marriage and alleged infidelity of Kutcher, Moore’s declaration surprises very few.

Kutcher allegedly cheated on his wife on their six-year marriage anniversary while in San Diego. Sara Leal, 22, told Us Weekly that she spent time with Kutcher on his Sept. 24 anniversary and claimed that he told her he was separated from his wife at the time.

Released to The Associated Press, Moore’s divorce announcement said: “It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.”

During happier times, the former couple would often use Twitter to communicate with each other and with fans. After an ill-informed post about the Penn State sex scandal, Kutcher has relinquished his account to his management team for secondary editorial measure.

Shortly after Moore’s statement, Kutcher posted on Twitter, “I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK.”

Hints emerged online earlier this fall that the marriage was in trouble when Moore posted a message about anger on her Twitter account.

“When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger. –Epictetus.”

Kutcher responded to the speculation over his marriage by tweeting a link to the song “Don’t Believe the Hype” by Public Enemy.

The actor appears on CBS’s sitcom “Two and a Half Men,” and will has a film scheduled for release during the holidays, “New Years Eve.”

Moore can be seen in the recent film “Margin Call” and poignantly titled film “Another Happy Day.”
