Ashton Kutcher Bans Journalists From His Twitter Page

Ashton Kutcher has begun blocking journalists from his Twitter page in what critics suspect is some form of retaliation.

The 33-year-old, who is one of the most followed celebrities on the social media network, has banned Editor-in-Chief of Star magazine, David Perel, and Senior Executive Editor, Dylan Howard from following him.

"@aplusk is awfully sensitive these days ... blocking entertainment journalists on Twitter and using a lawyer on the Demi situation," Perel tweeted from his @IMPerel account, referring to Kutcher.

"Sure @aplusk has banned @dylanshoward and me from following him, but we always had a lot more fun with Charlie anyway! #winning," Perel added.

"Just found out @aplusk has blocked @IMPerel and I from following him on Twitter. Now waiting for Kutcher state-run showbiz news service," Howard posted on Twitter.

It is still unclear whether Star Magazine is the only media outlet which Kutcher has targeted, although sources suspect that there may be others.

Kutcher's passive-aggressive jab at Star Magazine was unexpected, although critics have attributed his actions to the magazine's damaging coverage of alleged mistress Sara Leal.

Leal covered Star's October issue, after the magazine got hold of explosive photographs which showed Kutcher partying with the 22-year-old on his sixth wedding anniversary to wife Demi Moore.

Although Kutcher's now estranged wife never directly addressed the pictures, sources suspect that Moore's decision to file for divorce from Kutcher in November was a direct result of Star Magazine's damaging evidence of the affair which Leal claims took place that night.

Perel's tweet about Kutcher's new attorney refers to L. Stanton Stein, whom Kutcher has reportedly retained to favorably handle his $290 million divorce from Moore.

Although Kutcher has not publicly spoken about his estranged wife's recent hospitalization, he recently posted some advice for his fans on Facebook which critics have associated with 49-year-old Moore's substance abuse troubles.

Among the four step list of advice are references about avoiding "gossip" and "self abuse," and not being a "victim of needless suffering."

Moore was recently rushed to hospital after allegedly inhaling nitrous oxide or synthetic spice in a bid to get high, although a spokesperson suggested that she was actually being treated for "exhaustion," according to TMZ.
