ASUS Transformer TF101 and Slider SL1 Android 4.1, JellyBean Update Confirmed
Both the ASUS Transformer TF101 and slider SL1 will receive the Android 4.1, JellyBean update, according to an ASUS official in Germany.
Earlier rumors had stated that the TF101 would not be able to upgrade to the latest Google operating software, however, it seems that those reports were inaccurate.
JellyBean should bring a significant performance boost to the ASUS Transformer TF101. This device was actually one of the first to receive Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. It upgraded to the software early on because the code base for ICS was not that much different from Honeycomb, the software it ran previously.

Android 4.0 was able to improve on many things in the TF101 such as fixing software flaws with Honeycomb. Android 4.1 should make it even more impressive.
JellyBean debuted at Google I/O at the end of last month. The OS brings many new features to the Android platform, including a revamped notifications system, and the Siri competitor known as Google Now.
The software also features a redesigned search experience with a new user interface and faster Voice Search.
Google Now has the ability to answer voice commands and answer commonly asked questions such as what the weather will be, or how much traffic to expect, or even the score of a sports game.
The next devices expected to receive the software update include the rest of the Galaxy Nexus models, the Nexus S, and Motorola XOOM tablet. Those should upgrade in the coming weeks.
Android 4.1, JellyBean also comes pre-installed on the Google Nexus 7 tablet that the company started shipping last week.
The first devices scheduled to receive the JellyBean update are the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and WiFi Motorola XOOM tablet.
