Beyonce Pregnant: Confirmed at VMA's, Jay-Z Accepts Congratulations

Jay-Z accepted jubilant pats on the back and congratulations from fellow artists at the MTV VMAs Sunday night on the news of wife Beyonce’s pregnancy.

After performing at the VMAs, Beyonce Knowles opened her sparkly jacket to reveal her baby bump, announcing to the world that she and Jay-Z were expecting their first child.

Partner on their new album, “Watch the Throne,” Kanye West jumped up from his seat and hugged Jay-Z following Beyonce’s performance, as the audience reacted with wild applause.

Sitting next to Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett also cheered the expecting parents, sipping celebratory Hennessey as Jay-Z smiled from ear-to-ear.

Celebrities also took to Twitter to congratulate the happy couple on the news. Usher Raymond wrote, “Woke up to the news that BEYONCE IS PREGNANT! So happy for her!!! Congrats B and Jay-Z!!!! ”

The singer Pink, who recently had a baby, said, “What an adorable way to announce a baby, congratulations Beyonce and Jay Z! Get your sleep now.”

Kelly Osbourne wrote on her Twitter account, “I’m so happy for Beyonce and Jay-Z she was just glowing last night!”

Katy Perry, who attended the VMAs, wrote on her Twitter account that she and husband Russell Brand would be willing to babysit, “@Beyonce me & @rustyrockets are avail to baby sit anytime! We’z real responsible,” Perry offered.

Married for three years, Beyonce and Jay-Z have shot down rumors of pregnancy on numerous occasions. Always saying that she wants a baby by the time she turns 30, Beyonce got her wish, and celebrates her 30th birthday next month.

In an interview with Piers Morgan in June, Beyonce spoke about her husband. “We’ve been together for a very long time and I’m very happy. Love is the foundation of everything, everything I do. My music is inspired by love – from my family, my husband, and my sister.”

No announcement has been made on when the baby is due.
